Youth Cross Country Camp Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of my child being permitted to participate in the youth cross country camp (“Camp”), I, as the parent or legal guardian of the participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive, release, and forever discharge any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action for injuries, damages, losses, or expenses of any kind arising out of or related to participation in the Camp against Playmakers, the Playmakers Foundation, Fenner Nature Center, New Balance Athletics, Inc., RunSignup.com, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

This release applies to any and all injuries, illnesses, damages, or losses suffered by my child or to personal property before, during, or after participation in the Camp, including transportation to and from Camp activities when applicable. I understand and acknowledge that this release is binding upon me, my child, our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

I understand that participation in running, cross country training, outdoor recreational activities, games, conditioning exercises, and related Camp activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls, collisions with other participants, uneven terrain, exposure to insects, wildlife, plants, changing weather conditions, heat-related illness, and other risks associated with physical activity and outdoor environments. I voluntarily assume all such risks on behalf of my child, whether known or unknown.

I certify that my child is physically able to participate in the Camp and has no medical condition that would prevent safe participation. I agree to inform Camp staff of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or other health concerns prior to participation. I understand that Camp staff may remove my child from participation if they believe continued participation may present a safety risk to my child or others.

In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency involving my child during Camp activities, I authorize Playmakers, the Playmakers Foundation, Camp staff, volunteers, and/or emergency personnel to obtain medical treatment deemed necessary for my child’s immediate care. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any and all costs related to medical treatment, transportation, hospitalization, or emergency services provided to my child.

I agree that my child and our family will follow all Camp rules, safety instructions, and any applicable health and communicable disease guidelines established by the Camp, local authorities, or public health agencies.

I grant permission to the Released Parties to use my child’s name, image, voice, likeness, photographs, video recordings, or other media captured during Camp activities for legitimate promotional, educational, marketing, or fundraising purposes in print, digital, social media, or other formats without compensation or further approval.

I understand that Camp registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by the organizers. The Camp reserves the right to modify schedules, activities, locations, or staffing, or to postpone or cancel Camp sessions due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, facility issues, or circumstances beyond its control. No refunds are guaranteed under such circumstances.

By registering my child for this Camp, I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand this Waiver and Release of Liability, and I voluntarily agree to its terms on behalf of myself and my child.
